The best and worst dressed at IPPA 2017 London

To celebrate the 70th year of Pakistan’s independence, the inaugural International Pakistan Prestige Awards (IPPA) were held in London, England this year. IPPA has been launched to create a legacy of entertainment and to recognise the Pakistani showbiz industry internationally.

45 Pakistani Showbiz celebrities comprising film, TV, music, fashion and sports attended the awards ceremony, which was the biggest Pakistani awards event ever to take place outside Pakistan.

The glamorous night featured some of the most dazzling looks portrayed by top Pakistani celebrities but last night also witnessed some dreary appearances.

ARMEENA KHAN

Armeena was elegance personified as she pulled off this mermaid shaped floor-length Lipsy gown. It hugged her body in all the right places and totally did Armeena’s figure justice. The lace detailing brought in sophistication whilst the mesh created sensuality. And it seems like the one-shoulder look is back in town.

With hair kept simple, blingy accessories and nails to match the outfit, Armeena was definitely one to look out for.

AHSAN KHAN

Whilst most men went with the basic black suits and white shirts, this hunk chose a different style. Looking dapper and bringing back the 90s trend, Ahsan Khan went for a gun-metal coloured suit with a black turtle neck.

The polka dotty red pocket square brings in the required pop of colour and the grey cashmere scarf was certainly a decision made right! Looking effortlessly handsome, we’re sure Ahsan made many hearts skip a beat.

HUMAIMA MALICK

It seems like Humaima didn’t get the memo … or maybe she ended up at the wrong event? Clad in a satin white ball gown, the actor made all the wrong decisions. The shape of the dress does not complement her figure and the neckline is just too cliche. The embellishments on the bodice were her only saving grace but Humaima was out of luck.

MIKAAL ZULFIQAR

We’re sure the Sang-e-Mar Mar actor takes pride in being creative but this time, he failed miserably. Although the fitting of his suit is impeccable, the printed blazer just didn’t do it for us. Borderline tacky is probably the word. It’s a pity the handsome star couldn’t shine as bright as he usually does.
